The Circassian Education Foundation (CEF) was established in 2005. In that year, its mission was declared as: “The Circassian Education Foundation shall strive to promote education, culture, knowledge and acquisition of modern life skills to all Circassians in the USA and the world. It shall specifically emphasize the inspiration and support of children and youth toward higher education. Ten years later this mission remains unchanged.

In November of 2005 the CEF launched its first scholarship program. In the past 10 years, the scholarship has become a continuous success, awarding over $ 400,000 to hundreds of the youth of our community.

One of the most important areas of need for improvement, that the CEF has faced every year, is how to engage and involve the growing number of prior scholarship recipients to support education of the next generations of students through the CEF. There is a strong need to create a community of prior scholarship recipients to provide support for the CEF activities and help the next generations of students.
